סיכום 2006: הנבחרים של אנשי המטאל הישראלי

כמה רגעים לפני שאנחנו מסכמים את שנת המטאל שעברה עלינו במגזין מטאליסט, החלטנו לבקש מנציגי להקות המטאל הישראליות את אלבומי השנה שלהם. 30 להקות נבחרו לרשימה, כאשר מתוכם הגיעו גם נציגינו מחו"ל, Ashmedi, סולן להקת Melechesh ו-Niro Nox מ-Kind Lizard… אפילו Sven De Claw הסולן החדש של להקת Whorecore תרם את קולו. כל אחד ואחת התבקשו לבחור עד 5 כותרי מטאל שעשו לו או לה את השנה, חלקן היו בחירות מוכרות, וחלקן היו יציאות שגם אנחנו לא שמענו עליהן.

שנת 2006 הייתה אחת מהעמוסות במטאל העולמי והמקומי, והיא הציגה כמה אלבומים מאד מעניינים, אך אלו שכבשו את אוזניהם של מרבית אמני המטאל הישראליים היו: "The New Black" של דווין טאונסנד ולהקתו Strapping Young Lad, כש-"Christ Illusion" של Slayer ו-"Sacrament" של Lamb Of God ממש צמודים מאחורה. גם אלבומים ישראליים לא נשכחו כש-"Protection" של Whorecore הגיח מספר פעמים, ואף אלו של Abed ו-The Fading (לשעבר Excessum) קיבלו לא מעט כבוד לצד אלבומים ישראליים נוספים. ועכשיו, בלי מילים מיותרות, להלן רשימת אלבומי המטאל של השנה מאת אמני המטאל הישראליים.
