Mute productions

Dear Samer,
It is with great regret that I have to inform you that Opeth will not be coming to Jordan for the performance at the university on 28th November as I had a call in the early hours of this morning from the band who were to catch a 6.10 flight to Paris and then on to Amman saying that the drummer Martin Lopez was suffering from Panic/Anxiety attacks and refused to travel .On top of this the band leader Mikael Akerfeldt got the news that his grandfather had died.

As you know even with various members of the UK crew dropping out due to being scared of terrorist attacks we bent over backwards yesterday to get new crew and make this happen as the band so much wanted to come to Jordan and play for fans in the Middle East.

You will be provided with a doctors note about his condition and we will endeavour to re schedule the show in 2004 but they simply could not perform without the drummer.

In the meantime if there is any way we can help you get messages to the fans via a radio interview please let me know.

Sincere apologies
